Potty Mouth is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Potty Mouth Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Carcadia Burn > Lopside

- Reward: XP, Money, SMG (Green or Purple rarity), Eridium, Cosmetic: ECHO-4 Frame (ECHO-IVIV)
- Quest Description: GenIVIV is down in the dumps, and she needs your hep finding a new synthetic body to host her AI. What do you say, you cutie idiot, will you give her a hand?

Starting Location: Potty Mouth
This is started by interacting with a toilet in the north of Lopside region. It gets marked on the map when going near it.
Talk to town leader
The toilet is an AI and starts talking to you. It initially wants you to kill everyone in the whole village but our vault hunter refuses and this objective cancels itself after a few seconds. Then the objectives changes to talk to the town leader first before going on a killing spree.
He is in the next building north-west, only a few meters away. Go into the building and take the stairs in the back left corner to reach him. He sits in a bathttub with a ladyfriend.
Talk to GenIVIV
The town leader wants you to get rid of the toilet because it has been insulting his underside. Go talk to the toilet again.
Use Clap Signal
Climb the rocks behind the toilet and glide over to the roof of the building where the town leader was, then double-jump up to the roof. On the rooftop use the computer.
Our Vault Huner will call in Claptrap for help with our toilet problem. Talk to Clapytrap in front of the building. Clappy reveals he knows GenIVIV and she’s a combat AI that tried to kill him before.
Flush GenIVIV out
Claptrap puts his “head” in the toilet and gets stuck. Pull the flusher on the side of the toilet. But GenIVIV has a strong grip and pulls him back in.
Do something else
Use the valve on the left side of the toilet. No that doesn’t work too.
Smack Claptrap
Punch Clappy with a melee attack. GenIVIV has transferred over to Claptrap and is now inside him. Claptrap’s body goes a bit haywire with GenIVIV fighting for control.
Find new container for GenIVIV
We need to find a new host body for the AI. Luckily, there is a Broomba cleaning drone in the town leader’s house. You find it in the kitchen of the ground floor. Melee punch it once. It drops to the floor.
Pick up Broomba
Pick up the drone.
Place Broomba
Place the drone in the green outline in front of Claptrap. Gen transfers over to her new body.
Slap GenIVIV REALLY HARD
The AI is asking for a good smack from our Vault Hunter. Fulfill her wish by melee-attacking its new drone body.
Pick up GenIVIV
Gen wasn’t happy with her body and wants to be transferred again. Pick up her drone body.
Find Order Depot
She wants to be taken to the Order Depot, found in Grindstone of the Worthy region. Go to the waypoint. Gen and Clappy will entertain you along the way. This is also an “Order Bunker” activity location, there are many enemies here.
You must approach from the south-east entrance (the east road). The northern entrance is locked. See the path on the map below.
Clear Order depot
Kill the enemies in the depot.
Put GenIVIV down
Interact with the green outline in the middle of the depot, where Claptrap stands.
Search Order depot
Enter the door on the north-west corner. There’s a badass enemy behind the door.
Find new body for GenIVIV
In the backroom approach the gate where Claptrap stands.
Open experimental model closet
Use the console on the left of the door.
Find experimental closet
Then open the big container inside the room.
Take experimental constructor drone
Pick up the drone from the container.
Place constructor bot
Go back outside and place the bot in the green outline. Gen seems excited for her new body. Clappy is being a little mischievous and doubled Gen into two drone bodies, to get double the love.
Defeat counterattack / Kill order heavy
Defeat the waves of enemies.
Find rippers
Gen feels like testing out her new body – by murdering some rippers. Head up the road to the north to meet her there.
Help GenIVIV kill rippers
Follow Gen along the road and defeat the enemies.
Killing, more killing!
Gen is still homicidal and wants to do more killing. Join her.
Keep killing?
Yes, more killing.
This is a lot of killing…
Kill the last wave of enemies.
Put an end to GenIVIV
Clappy is slowly catching on to the fact that a homicidal killer drone isn’t the right lover for him. He breaks up with Gen. She doesn’t take the news too well and attacks you and Claptrap. Kill her.
Collect GenIVIV’s core
She drops a blue item, pick that up.
Reach Moxxi’s bar
Travel to Moxxi’s bar in Ruined Sumplands.
Talk to Moxxi
Interact with Moxxi at the bar. She crossed paths with Gen before.
Install GenIVIV into sound system -or- Give GenIVIV to erase her forever (probably)
You can either give Gen to Moxxi to erase her AI, or put her into the sound system next to the bar. Either way the mission ends the same way.
Talk to Claptrap
Talk to Clappy outside the bar. The mission ends here. This counts as 1 of the 5 Claptrap missions towards the Widely Beloved Mascot trophy/achievement.
