The Mole’s Gambit is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Mole’s Gambit Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Carcadia Burn > Ruined Sumplands > Carcadia Faction Town
- Quest Giver: Levaine
- Unlock Requirement: Finished Side Missions Enter the Electi Part 1 > Enter the Electi Part 2 > The Council Divided > A Traitor Within
- Reward: XP, Money, SMG (Blue or Purple rarity), Eridium, Cosmetic: Vault Hunter Head (Cursed to Live)
- Quest Description: The Mole’s plan is coming to fruition. Did someone say “Synths?”

- Destroy Willem’s devices (x5)
- Find EMP parts (x3)
- Find Order convoy
- Kill convoy guards
- Hack convoy signal
- Breach Order depot
- Assemble EMP
- Let EMP charge
- Get to Willem
- Kill Willem
- Talk to Levaine
Starting Location: The Mole’s Gambit
This mission starts by talking to Levaine in the same spot as the previous mission A Traitor Within. She stands near the vending machines in Carcadia town.
Destroy Willem’s devices (x5)
Remember the 5 devices you placed during Enter the Electi Part 2? You need to go back to those same ones and destroy them. They’re in the same locations where you placed them earlier. You need to melee attack them.
Device Location #1 – In the north-east of the search area, up some stairs.
Device Location #2 – On the scaffold very slightly south from the above location.
Device Location #3 – In the south of the search area, up some stairs in the alley.
Device Location #4 – Slightly west from the center of the search area, near some market stalls.
Device Location #5 – In the north-west corner of the search area.
Find EMP parts (x3)
Go to the marked ripper camp to the north. Two EMP parts are on top of the cranes and one is on the ground.
EMP Part #1 – On top of the crane in the south of the search area. The part hangs on the door to the crane.
EMP Part #2 – On top of the crane in the north of the search area. The part is an antenna that stands on the crane roof. You can glide over from the containers that hang off the cranes.
EMP Part #3 – In the north-east corner of the search area on the ground, in the sand (just below the staircase leading up the third crane).
Find Order convoy
The convoy is in Grindstone of the Worthy region. Head to the marked location.
Kill convoy guards
Defeat the enemies in that area.
Hack convoy signal
Climb on the middle convoy vehicle and interact with the computer.
Breach Order depot
The depot will be marked 850 meters to the east. Drive through the camp and use the grappling point at the end (can ignore the enemies). Then head through the open gate in the mountainside. Scan with 
/ Z (PC) and the location line will guide you through the facility.
Assemble EMP
Climb upstairs and place the EMP in the center of the room at the green outline. Put all 3 parts together by interacting with the green outlines.
Let EMP charge
They EMP will need 90 seconds to charge. During this time you must fend off the enemies. The EMP explodes automatically after this and kills all enemies.
Get to Willem
Continue following the location line through the facility until you can drop down. A big fight is coming up here.
Kill Willem
Defeat the boss.
Talk to Levaine
Afterward fast travel back to the quest giver. The Electi leaders stand in front of their tree and thank you. Their faction questline ends here and you unlock the trophy/achievement Mole Money, Mole Problems for completing all Electi quests.
