Primordial Vault: Fadefields is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Primordial Vault: Fadefields Side Quest.
- Starting Location: The Fadefields > Dissected Plateau > Primordial Vault: Arch of Inceptus
- Quest Giver: None
- Unlock Requirement: Collect all 3 Vault Fragments in The Fadefields region and open the Primordial Vault.
- Reward: SMG, Money, XP, Eridium
- Quest Description: Survive the gauntlet, Vaul Hunter, and you will gain a piece of the Timekeeper’s own power.
Objectives:
- Collect the 3 Vault Fragments in The Fadefields
- Enter Primordial Vault
- Kill All Enemies
- Defeat Primordial Guardian Inceptus
Requirement: Collect the 3 Vault Fragments in The Fadefields
To enter the Primordial Vault where the quest is accepted, you must first find the 3 Vault Fragment collectibles in this region.
Vault Fragment #1: Coastal Bonescape
Found at the southwest corner of Coastal Bonescape. At a house by the beach, on a box.
Vault Fragment #2: The Howl
Found in the middle of a moutain. Approach from the north of the icon and climb up the rocks. The vault fragment is halfway up the mountain on a plateau, not at the very top of the mountain.
Vault Fragment #3: Idolator’s Noose
Must pull a grate on the side of a building to enter a hidden room below the building.
Starting Location: Primordial Vault Fadefields
After finding the 3 Vault Fragments, the Vaul can be located in The Fadefields > Dissected Plateau. On top of a hill. Only spawns after finding the 3 Vault Fragments in The Fadefields. When you approach, a stone pillar will come out of the ground where you can insert the Fadefields Vault Key. Then a purple portal appears, step through it to enter the Primordial Vault. On the inside you can accept a side quest, then fight through 3 arenas and beat the Vault Guardian boss at the end.
Kill All Enemies
Defeat all enemies in the Primordial Vault. There are 3 arenas with waves of enemies. After each arena you must step on a yellow ramp to be catapulted to the next arena.
Defeat Primordial Guardian Inceptus
In the fourth arena you will encounter the Vault Guardian. Defeat him. Afterward go through the purple rift and collect your reward. Then exit through the purple rift orb to complete the quest.
