It’s a Whole Phase Situation is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the It’s a Whole Phase Situation Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Terminus Range > The Low Leys
- Quest Giver: Watching Gee
- Unlock Requirement: After completing Main Mission 14: His Vile Sanctum
- Reward: XP, Cash, Submachine Gun (Green to Purple rarity), Vault Hunter Style (Earned Stripes), Eridium
- Quest Description: A poor, watchful soul is missing their lost kitty. Follow the trail of clues to help fix the undoubtedly super modern situation.

Starting Location: It’s a Whole Phase Situation
The mission starts in the north of The Low Leys.
Find Mori/Reach Mori’s last known location
Head to the mission marker in the far southeast. If you unlocked Safehouse: Heritage Opus, you can fast travel there.
Find Mori/Kill creeps
Once at the last known location, Creeps will start attacking you. Defeat them.
Find Mori/Pick up votive
Once you kill all the creeps the last one will drop a quest item. Pick it up.
Find Mori/Reach shrine
Head to the marker farther southeast.
Capture safehouse
You will need to capture this safehouse, if you have already completed it this step will auto-complete and you can just teleport here.
Find Mori/Reach shrine
Head up to the shrine in the safehouse and get close to it.
Find Mori/Place votive
Interact with the shrine to place the votive.
Reach Light
To the southeast you will see a giant purple light shooting up. Head there.
Destroy the barrier
Once you get to the light look to the left and you will see a barrier gating off a cave. Throw a grenade through the barrier to destroy it.
Enter the cave
Head into the cave. Go to the back of the cave straight ahead and slide down the path.
Find Mori
Head to the left deeper into the cave. Follow the path until you get close enough to the purple cat.
Talk to Mori
Approach Mori to speak to it.
Help Mori escape/Make bridge for Mori
Look to the south and you will see a climbable wall on the other side. Glide over and climb up to the ledge with the computer on it. Head over to the computer and interact with it.
Help Mori escape/Follow Mori
Follow Mori into the cave until it stops.
Help Mori escape/Talk to Mori
Approach Mori and interact with it to speak.
Help Mori escape/Enter rifts
Look up and grapple the rift to pull yourself in. Once inside the next rift will be straight ahead. Grapple into it and then locate the next rift ahead. Head to it and grapple it to rift through again.
Help Mori escape
Head to the left until you find Rippers.
Help Mori escape/Clear out the Rippers
Defeat all the Rippers so you can find Mori.
Find Mori again/Help Mori escape
Head deeper into the cave until you see another barrier. Approach it and Mori will appear, the purple barrier disappears automatically after a few seconds.
Reach heart of cave/Help Mori escape
Proceed forward through where the barrier was and slide down. At the bottom continue forward until you reach more Rippers.
Help Mori escape/Kill rippers
Kill all the Rippers down in this area.
Help Mori escape/Help Mori get out
Approach the rift to the south. Grapple it to pull Mori out of the rift.
Help Mori escape/Kill rippers with Mori
Kill more Rippers but this time with Mori’s help. Once you have killed all the Rippers again, Mori will appear fatigued.
Help Mori escape/Follow Mori
Follow Mori to where a barrier to the south was. Use the rift at the base to bring yourself up top. Head deeper into the cave until you catch up to Mori.
Escape through rift
Grapple the rift Mori jumped through.
Return to Watching Gee
Return to Watching Gee who gave you the quest at the safehouse. Once you approach Gee and Mori the dialogue will automatically start that ends the quest.
