Old Raymond is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Old Raymond Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Dominion > Fades District (becomes accessible after Main Mission 18: Means of Ascent)
- Quest Giver: Raymond
- Unlock Requirement: Finished Main Mission 18: Means of Ascent
- Reward: XP, Money, Assault Rifle (Green or Purple rarity)
- Quest Description: Help this kindly old man save his kindly old friends.
Objectives:
- Take explosives
- Place explosives on facility door
- Shoot explosives
- Reset facility system
- Defeat Order ambush
- Reach core room
- Kill all other guards
- Hack core system
- Kill Order reinforcements
- Open sewer gate
- Leave facility
Starting Location: Old Raymond
This starts just outside Zedra’s lab in Dominion’s Fades District. Leave Zedra’s lab and go around the right side to reach it. This mission just has you go through an enemy facility, kill all enemies and exit back outside.
Take explosives
Raymond will put bombs on the table for you, take them.
Place explosives on facility door
Follow the waypoint through the junkyard and put the bomb on the door. It will be outlined in green.
Shoot explosives
Step back and shoot the explosive to blow up the door.
Reset facility system
Go inside and press the button on the console straight ahead from the entrance.
Defeat Order ambush
Some Order enemies will spawn, defeat them.
Reach core room
Follow the waypoints through the facility, you can scan with 
/ Z (PC) to see the location line.
When you reach the first room with acid, glide over to the other side.
In the second room with acid, glide and use the grappling point on the other side. Then glide to the end of the room and go around the left side until you can glide to a climbable wall. From there you can take the upper path to exit the room. Falling down into the acid won’t kill you, it only deals some damage to your shield.
After you exit the second acid room you reach the core room.
Kill all other guards
Kill all enemies in the control room.
Hack core system
On the south-east side of that same room use the computer.
Kill Order reinforcements
Interacting with the computer spawns another wave of enemies.
Open sewer gate
In the same room use the gate on the north-east side.
Leave facility
Follow the linear path straight ahead and use the button on the gate at the end. Then Raymond calls you and wants you to return to him. The mission ends here and you unlock his follow-up mission Old Lads.
This finishes Old Raymond side mission in Borderlands 4 and unlocks the next mission Old Lads.
