One Slimy Issue is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the One Slimy Issue Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Dominion > Fades District (becomes accessible after Main Mission 18: Means of Ascent)
- Quest Giver: Beth
- Unlock Requirement: Finished Side Mission One Gassy Issue
- Reward: XP, Money, Shotgun (Green or Purple rarity)
- Quest Description: Help Beth get their totally-not-dystopian surveillance system running again.
Objectives:
- Enter Beth’s basement
- Reboot system (x2)
- Investigate nearby device
- Reach signal’s location
- Kill rippers
- Pick up device part
- Repair monitoring device
- Kill threshers
- Acquire spare parts
- Reach second monitoring device
- Destroy growth on monitoring device / Repair monitoring device
- Find thresher
- Kill bio-armored thresher
- Shoot vomit pile
- Return to Beth / Talk to Beth
Starting Location: One Slimy Issue
This starts in the same place as the previous side mission One Gassy Issue, in the north of Dominion’s Fades District. Given by the same quest giver Beth.
Enter Beth’s basement
The basement entrance is behind the house in the water-filled area but it has armor on it. You must grab a gas canister from directly in front of the door, at the muddy area where the water ends. Then toss it at the door to open it. Clear out the enemies inside.
Reboot system (x2)
The systems are also protected by armor. Grab a gas canister in the little side room to the left of where you entered. Then toss it at the system on the right side of the room and the other in the back right corner upstairs.
Then flip the switches on both systems.
Investigate nearby device
Go to the map marker 100 meters west, the objective completes when you approach the antenna sticking out of the ground.
Reach signal’s location
Go to the next map marker 100 meters north-west. This leads into a ripper camp.
Kill rippers
Clear out the camp.
Pick up device part
One of the stronger enemies will have dropped a blue highlighted item. Pick it up.
Repair monitoring device
Return to the antenna from before and place the device part on it.
Kill threshers
This has attracted some thresher enemies, kill them.
Acquire spare parts
The spare parts are slightly north in a metal container hanging from a crane. Use the grappling point on the south-side of the crane to get up there. Then glide over to the container to find the part inside on the top.
Reach second monitoring device
Go to the next antenna, it will be marked.
Destroy growth on monitoring device / Repair monitoring device
There some growth blocking the front side of the antenna. Destroy it by any means, then you can interact with the antenna to repair it.
Find thresher
The thresher is in a marked search area, 175 meters north-west. You can use the grappling point on the side of a wall to jump into the area.
Kill bio-armored thresher
There will be a special enemy called Bio-Thresher Omega. He is glowing and larger than normal. He is armored and you must throw the gas canisters at him before he takes damage. Rinse and repeat till he is dead. He will pop in and out of the ground frequently and turns immune each time, so you’ll need to throw a gas canister immediately when he pops out and shoot at him.
Shoot vomit pile
Shoot the pile of green goo where you fought the thresher. A little insect will pop out but it won’t attack you.
Return to Beth / Talk to Beth
Go back to the quest giver and talk to her. The mission ends after the talk. That’s Beth’s questline done.
