To investigate city wall is a main objective during The Falling Wall mission in Borderlands 4. It’s the only main objective in the game that doesn’t offer navigation to it. This can make it confusing where to go or what to do. It’s not a bug, the game wants you to find the entrance to Dominion City by yourself here.
You must go to the west of where the objective marker is on the map. Go through Carcadia Burn > Lopside sub-region. At the side of the main road you can go through the named area “Siltgrasp Canyon” (blue map pin). On the map this area will look like purple crystals when you unfog it.

At the end of this area you can enter a building and press a red button to open the door that leads into Dominion City.
Then just head forward to the objective marker and you’ll arrive at your destination.
