Borderlands 4 Recruitment Drive Walkthrough

Recruitment Drive is the 2nd main mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Recruitment Drive Main Quest.

• Starting Location: Kairos > The Fadefields > The Headquarter of the Crimson Resistance
• Quest Giver: Claptrap
• Unlock Requirement: having finished Main Quest 1: Guns Blazing
• Recommended Level: 2
• Reward: XP, Money & Epic Shield
• Quest Description: Congrats, Rookie! You’re Claptrap’s newest unpaid intern. Now help him with his ripper problems before he tries to serve you any more beach trash.

Objectives:

1. Take Claptrap’s tour
2. Open Grill & Pick up battery
3. Follow Claptrap
4. Kill Rippers
5. Follow Claptrap to the elevator
6. Infiltrate ripper camp
7. Find Splashzone
8. Kill Splashzone
9. Pick up Splashzone’s key
10. Loot Splashzone’s chest
11. Use glide to reach exit
12. Return to broadcast tower
13. Reach top of broadcast tower
14. Call elevator
15. Get clearance for elevator
16.  Call elevator for real
17. Punch door
18. Find codes for Claptrap’s safehouse
19. Activate Claptrap’s safehouse
20. Start broadcast

Starting Location: Recruitment Drive

Take Claptrap’s tour

Here, just follow Claptrap around the area.

Open Grill & Pick up battery

Once claptrap stops, interact with the grill to pick up the battery.

Follow Claptrap

Follow Claptrap again.

Kill Rippers

Claptrap will lead you to some enemies, kill them all.

Follow Claptrap to the elevator

After killing the enemies, go to Claptrap near the elevator to get ECHO-4 and the navigation system.

Infiltrate ripper camp

Follow the marker to the enemy camp. Once you reach it, pull yourself up with the grappling hook.

Find Splashzone

Follow the path inside the camp.

Near the end of the camp and after killing some enemies, you will reach a wall that you need to climb up.

Right after that, you will see a broken bridge, jump over to the other side to find Splashzone.

Kill Splashzone

Now you have to kill Splashzone, if you fall down in this area, you have to get through the enemy camp again to reach Splashzone.

Pick up Splashzone’s key

After killing Splashzone, you can pick up his key from where he died.

Loot Splashzone’s chest

With the key open, the chest nearby. Pick up the glide pack.

Use glide to reach exit

To exit the area, do a double jump to glide to the other side next to the chest.

Return to broadcast tower

Now follow the marker to the broadcast tower.

Reach top of broadcast tower

To reach the top, follow the quest marker and climb up the wall.

Then turn right and glide over to the other side.

Then climb up another wall.

Here, pull yourself up with the grappling hook in the corner.

Call elevator

Just interact with the elevator.

Get clearance for elevator

To get the clearance, interact with the body opposite the door.

 Call elevator for real

Then call the elevator again.

Punch door

Caltrap tries to open a door that you need to punch.

Find codes for Claptrap’s safehouse

Interact with the datapad inside the safehouse.

Activate Claptrap’s safehouse

Then interact with the terminal nearby.

Start broadcast

Now press the button next to the terminal.

This finishes Recruitment Drive in Borderlands 4.
