Borderlands 4 TASK Master Side Mission Walkthrough

TASK Master is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the TASK Master Side Quest.

• Starting Location: The Fadefields > The Howl > The Launchpad
• Quest Giver: Kilo
• Unlock Requirement: Finished Side Mission The Kairos Job > Free for the TASKing > TASK and Ye Shall Receive
• Reward: Money, XP, Eridium
• Quest Description: The Order keeps leaving their valuables scattered all over the place. With Kilo’s help, you can do your civic duty and clean up! Or at least clean them out.

Objectives:

1. Find Order pod
2. Smack button

Starting Location: TASK Master

This side mission starts in the exact same place where the previous mission TASK and Ye Shall Receive started, in the outer courtyard of The Launchpad faction town. Kilo will stand there and offers the quest.

Find Order pod

This Order pod is far away, 2800 meters to the east, in Idolator’s Noose region. If you’ve unlocked the Wyclef’s Reprieve Safehouse, you can fast travel there immediately. If not, this is a good opportunity to unlock the Safehouse. The pod is down by the swamp at a destroyed house.

Smack button

Just like in previous missions you must hit all buttons/levers in the correct order to open the pod. But this time there’s a twist, you must also handle the power core which can be pulled out from the top left corner of the pod.

1. MELEE the RED BUTTON
2. FLIP the LEFT SWITCH
3. REPLACE the POWER CORE (pull it out from the top left, throw it at the top right in the round spot)
4. PULL the RIGHT LEVER
5. (DON’T flip the left switch)
6. PRESS the RED BUTTON
7. MELEE the RED BUTTON
8. SHOOT the PANEL
9. REMOVE the POWER CORE (the one on the top right spot where you threw it previously, then toss it away to the side)
10. (DON’T pull the right lever)
11. SHOOT the PANEL
12. FLIP the LEFT SWITCH
13. MELEE the RED BUTTON (must not be holding the power core to melee)
14. REPLACE the POWER CORE (again pull it from the top left and throw it to the top right)
15. PRESS the RED BUTTON
16. PRESS the RED BUTTON
17. MELEE the RED BUTTON
18. PRESS the RED BUTTON
19. REMOVE the POWER CORE (pull it from the top right, throw it away)
20. FLIP the LEFT SWITCH
21. PULL the RIGHT LEVER
22. SHOOT the PANEL
23. PULL the RIGHT LEVER
24. FLIP the LEFT SWITCH
25. REPLACE the POWER CORE (pull it from top left, throw it to top right)

If done correctly the pod will open and the mission completes. There’s a weapons cache inside. This finishes the thief questline, no more buttons and levers to pull.

This finishes TASK Master side mission in Borderlands 4.
