- Complete within 2 minutes 30 seconds
Starting Location: Blackwater, West Elizabeth
Talk to Ansel Atherton
Luckily Ansel Atherton believes in his cousin’s word, because otherwise you’d have never gotten a loan to buy Beecher’s Hope.
Before you settle the paperwork though, you’ll have to ride up there and clear off some squatters.
- GOLD MEDAL: Complete within 2 minutes 30 seconds
All you have to do is bribe them $10 and they’ll clear off. Fast and clean. Skip the cutscene of signing paperwork.
Outside the bank, you’ll run into Uncle. Ride back to Beecher’s Hope and skip the ending cinematic.
This finishes Home of the Gentry? main mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. Now the next quest Gainful Employment starts.

In my playthrough, this mission was called “The Landowning Class” . I don’t know why lol.
That’s the mission before it, which is basically just the cutscene talking to the guy in the bank. The clearing the squatters mission is the one after that.
