The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC. This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Talent Academy Gig.
Area: Dogtown
Quest Giver: Mr Hands
Requirement: Gig received during Main Quest 6: Get It Together, after meeting Mr. Hands and contacting Solomon Reed.

Objectives:
- Meet with Briana during the evening vigil (10pm-6am)
- Talk to Briana.
- Follow the Briana.
- Talk to Briana.
- Crack the shard.
- Investigate the area. (Optional)
- Go to the old hotel.
- Enter the abandoned motel.
- Find Rinder.
- Defeat the enemy.
- Get to Rinder.
- Confront Rinder.
- Take Rinder’s dog tag.
- Exit the building.
- Deliver the dog tag to Briana.
Starting Location: The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman
Gig: The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman starts in Pacifica, Dogtown.
Meet with Briana during the evening vigil (10pm-6am)
When you arrive at the marker, you will be asked to wait until night time to start the Gig. Sit down on the bench and the Gig will automatically start.
Talk to Briana.
Start a conversation with Briana when prompted to.
Follow Briana.
Briana will head up the stairs across from the bench and you must follow her as per the objective.
Talk to Briana.
Now you can start the conversation with Briana. Exhaust all dialogue options to learn about Briana and the Gig. Choices don’t matter here.
Crack the shard
How to Crack the Shard: Open the menu (press Touchpad / Menu Button) > on the right side scroll over “Journal” then the “Shards” menu appears in the dropdown selection, click on it.
Scroll down until you see a shard with green text called “Gig: The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman”, click this.
Now a window with a code matrix comes up. The solution is randomized every time so will be different for everyone. But the principle is always the same: on the right side it shows the required number/letter order to solve the hack. These must be clicked in correct order in the matrix on the left. They can only be clicked in this order: column > column > row > column.
You can try as often as needed. When done correctly it will show a green button “Exit Interface”, click that.
After quitting out, the text shard will be deciphered and you will get an onscreen prompt that reveals the shard’s contents.
Investigate the area. (Optional)
An optional objective you are given, after speaking with Briana is to investigate the area for clues as to what happened to Jason Foreman.
There are 7 clues to discover so when you see a yellow magnifying glass icon, hold 
/ 
to scan each object to reveal what it is and move on to the next one.
All objects apart from the metal panels which are located on the roof where you speak to Briana, are located on the ground around where the vigil takes place.
Go to the old hotel.
The next part of the mission once you have cracked the shard, prompts you to go to the old hotel in Pacifica.
Enter the abandoned motel.
When you arrive at the hotel, it is renamed the abandoned motel and it is here where you need to enter. If you head to the right of the entrance, there is a rubbish container, which you can push out of the way and enter through the side of the building.
Once inside, you need to find Rinder. This building has a lot of enemy presence, so be careful as you proceed and be ready to take these enemies on. Proceed upstairs and follow the path.
Find Rinder.
Once you work your way through the building, eventually you arrive at a door, where Johnny Silverhand appears and talks to you, just before you can interact with the door.
Defeat the enemy.
Once the door opens, you are jumped by a brute who throws you out of the room and comes after you. This is a small miniboss, whom you need to defeat before going back to Rinder.
The room has plenty of cover and obstacles to use to your advantage, so take the enemy down until you eventually kill him. He likes to use a stealth cloak which makes him hard to see. But when he attacks you will know where he is and can land some headshots for maximum damage.
Get to Rinder.
With the enemy dead, you can now head into the room Rinder is in and confront him.
Confront Rinder.
Now you have Rinder, you can proceed to initiate a conversation with him. Exhaust all dialogues.
Take Rinder’s dog tag.
Once you have killed Rinder, take his dog tags for Briana and then leave the area.
Exit the building.
There is a shortcut exit just behind where you killed Rinder, so proceed through it and when you approach a metal door with a yellow ‘X’ on it, open it and head downstairs to the road.
Deliver the dog tag to Briana.
Return to Briana and turn in the dog tags and explain that Rinder has gone. Once you have done this, the mission will conclude.
