Objective: Retrieve a container containing bet acid
Location: Dewdrop Inn
This ain’t too complicated, you know the drill. Something slipped through somebody’s fingers and it’s your job to get it back. Got this choom, Doug – Denver Doug – a ripper. Recently did this patch job on a 6th street dickhole and when he took off Denver noticed a gallon of beta acid gone missing. Dunno wtf he uses it for but that 6er knows all kinds of shit can get cooked from it on the street. 1+1 = a dealer klepped it.
So Denver hired a guy, Booker Updike, to find the missing acid, then POOF – he’s a ghost. Last seen at the Dewdrop Inn in Arroyo. Head over there, get your hands on that beta, and if you got a minute, find out what happened to this Booker guy.

Starting Location: Serious Side Effects
Gig: Serious Side Effects starts in Santa Domingo (Arroyo).
Go To The Dewdrop Inn
From the location above, you can enter the inn from a number of locations but the easiest one is to go through the front door and rent a room by speaking with a receptionist.
Find Booker Updike [Optional]
Once you have rented a room, head down the corridor and look for room 103, which is where Booker is. You can get in if you have 12 Technical Ability points or you will need to bribe the mechanic working on the vending machine nearby to open the door for you by choosing the following options (If you have 9 Body Ability Points you can also threaten them):
Dialogue:
- Looking for Booker Updike.
- Open his room for me.
- €$1000 [Bribe]
Go To Room 103 And Find Out What Happened To Booker [Optional]
Interact with the ventilation system and Booker’s body to discover what happened to them.
Search Room 103 [Optional]
Once you have found out what happened to Booker, scan their body to complete this objective.
Find The Beta Acid Container
Head to the second floor of apartments and look for room 200, as room 203 is locked. Go out of the balcony door and onto the balcony, hopping over to the final balcony on this floor.
Inside this room, you will find 3 enemies, which you can easily incapacitate from behind.
Retrieve The Beta Acid Container
The Beta Acid Container can be found on the left side of the room, in the orange container.
Deposit The Beta Acid In The Drop Point
Exit the building by going outside and hopping over the balcony. Drive to the nearest Drop Point to deposit the Beta Acid and complete the Gig.
