Cyberpunk 2077 Wakako’s Favorite Gig Walkthrough

Wakako’s Favorite is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Wakako’s Favorite Gig (Side Quest).

Objective: Locate netrunner Chang Hoon Nam, 65 years old, regular associate

Location: Restaurant on Crescent St.

Details: For years, I worked to get jobs done comfortably, with a crew I hand-picked myself. I chose Chang Hoon Nam years ago, and he hasn’t let me down once. I don’t know what happened to him, but you got to get him back. Check the basement in that Chinese place. He keeps his gear there, sometimes takes a side gig or two. Think he’s still alive – if he weren’t, he’s the type who’s come back as a ghost and apologize, just like in those tales from the old country that make me want to puke. He’s sentimental like that.

• Take the shard
• Slot the shard in Chang Hoon Nam’s neutral port

Starting Location: Wakako’s Favorite

Find a way to Chang Hoon Nam’s hideout

From the alleyway, head into the door if you have enough attributes in the Body Attribute. You will need 6 to push the door open. If you do not have the attributes to force the door open head to the end of the alleyway where you will find a dumpster under an air conditioning unit. Hop on top of the dumpster and use the AC Unit to make your way onto the balcony above. There will be a door upstairs you can enter.

Find Chang Hoon Nam

Once inside get to the ground level if coming from upstairs and head down the hallway to the top of another staircase. You are now at the same spot if you would have forced your way inside. Looking down the stairs you will see two laser mines. Use your quick hacks to disarm both mines, one is on the left wall and the other on the right. Head downstairs and through the door.

Find out what happened to Chang Hoon Nam

Once in the door you will see Chang Hoon Nam on an operating table just ahead. Head over to him and ask him if he is alright. Go up to Chang Hoon Nam and interact with him. You will then see a laptop on a desk near where he lays:

Go up to the laptop and use it. In the upper left corner of the screen you will see he has three messages. Click it to bring up the messages. Read the message titled ‘Kang Tao Container’.

Follow the lights.

Once you have read the messages back out of the computer, and you will notice there is a blaring red light. Follow the lights and you will see an open gate you can now walk through. Head inside and you will see a hatch on the ground:

Drop through the hatch and crawl into the passage below. There are more laser mines in this crawlspace, disarm both and proceed forward. At the end of the crawlspace head up into the room above.

Take the shard.

Once in the room you will see the shard on a shelf with an icon above it. Pick up the shard.

Slot the shard in Chang Hoon Nam’s neutral port

Once you pick up the shard a door will open behind you. Head through back into Chang’s room. Walk up to him and interact to insert the shard.

Talk to Chang Hoon Nam

Interact with Chang. He will get up slowly but will start speaking to you. Exhaust his dialogue and you will get the final portion.

Leave the area

Once you have finished speaking with him head back outside to complete the gig.
