Starting Location: Beat on the Brat
Talk to the coach
During the main job “The Ripperdoc” when leaving V’s apartment, you will come across coach Fred and his training robot.
You can choose to fight the robot here if you want, or just leave it for now.
Defeat all opponents to get to the final round [0/4]
After speaking with Coach Fred, you will get 4 different Side Jobs listed in your journal to complete (a fifth can appear later, but it doesn’t actually count towards this objective and can be completed later too).
- Beat On The Brat: Arroyo
- Beat On The Brat: Kabuki
- Beat On The Brat: Rancho Coronado
- Beat On The Brat: The Glen
- Beat On The Brat: Pacifica > This is the optional one, can only appear after you complete Side Job “Send in the Clowns“
Take care of other things until Fred calls you back
After you have completed the 4 required individual fights you will need to wait for Coach Fred to message you about the final fight. You also need to have progressed the story far enough to have completed the Main Job “Transmission“. This appears to take about 48 in-game hours to occur – you can alternate between driving around and skipping time until you hear from Coach Fred.
Go to the final fight
The final fight is located at the Grand Imperial Mall in Pacifica (hence the reason why you need to have finished “Transmission” first).
Wait for the final fight
The Job doesn’t actually specify a time the fight occurs even though it has one, so you will likely have to sit on the bench outside to wait for the fight to be occurring.
Talk to the coach
Go inside to the ring, and talk to coach Fred.
Coach tells you a little about your opponent, who is an actual professional boxer (where professional boxers are now kitted out with cyberware and implants) so has an alternative option for you if you want to earn double the winning reward (but reduced street cred) if you throw the fight. You can agree to this then still try to win if you want, then you get the normal reward. You only get one shot at this fight, so it would be advised you agree to this anyway then still save before the fight, just in case you decide you don’t want to deal with winning. It is potentially worth throwing this no matter what, because by the time you’re even leveled enough to do this fight Street Cred probably won’t matter anymore, so the extra money might be slightly more helpful.
Sit in your corner
Let the coach know when you’re ready, then sit in your corner to get started. If you want to make a save, do it before sitting in the chair.
Vik tells you a bit about the opponent, then you’re ready to go.
Defeat Razor Hughes
Razor is the toughest opponent by far as you would expect from a “professional boxer”. Take a ton of damage, deals a ton of damage, and can be quite quick despite his size. Even when you are near the level cap he can still hit extremely hard even on normal if you take direct heavy punches (over half of my health in one hit on normal difficulty at level 47). If you’re trying to win, you will want to take this fight slow and not overextend so you can’t avoid or block attacks. Razor blocks constantly, so you will have to use charged attacks to break his guard most of the time.
Vik will have explained to you Razor’s weakness, which is that he had recent work done on his abs so they are weaker than normal. You want to hit him in the stomach if possible, which can stun him and make him bend over momentarily.
If you see him doing a jumping punch you want to dodge this, don’t try to block because it will break your block and do high damage to you.
Keep taking it slow and wear him down. He doesn’t use a healing item during the fight and doesn’t change much at low health, so just be sure to manage your own stamina (or throw the fight for the better monetary reward).
Talk to the coach
After the fight is over coach will either give you the prize for winning right away, or lead you back over away from the crowd to give you your reward for throwing the fight.
This finishes Beat on the Brat side quest job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).

Justin Ruby says
What happens if I tell coach I’m gonna throw the fight but end up winning?
I did this and coach was pissed and said he was gonna make sure my name never entered a boxing ring again. Does he actually follow through with this or is he just salty? ?
Gage says
Nothing happens after, when I did that he didn’t give me that dialogue either, I still got the normal reward and just said what I did was dirty.
Mostrillo says
I used legendary gorilla arms for boxing. It helped a lot.
