Cyberpunk 2077 The Space In Between Walkthrough

December 20, 2020 by Gage 1 Comment

The Space In Between is the 11th main story mission in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives, paths, dialogues, choices and endings of The Space In Between Main Job.

Area: Westbrook > Japantown
Quest Giver: N/A
Requirement: Complete Automatic Love
Reward: XP / Street Cred, Fingers is available as a Ripperdoc if you deal with him without any violence
Mission Info: If I’ve learned one thing from joyhouses, it’s to quit while the going’s good. Stare at those fake smiles too long, and all you’ll see is misery. As far as clubs go they’re all pretty pathetic, but at least it’s in their own way. You know the chances of finding Evelyn are close to zilch, right? Like that’s gonna change your mind… Anyway, let’s go pay a visit to this so-called Fingers. But if we don’t find Parker, you owe me a drink.

Objectives:

  • Call Judy. [Optional]
  • Go to Jig-Jig Street
  • Find Fingers clinic
  • Enter the clinic
  • Talk to the thugs
  • Talk to Fingers
  • Talk to Judy
  • Find a way  into FIngers’ office
  • Sit and talk to the joytoys [Optional]
  • Talk to Fingers
  • Interrogate Fingers

Starting Location: The Space In Between

Call Judy [Optional]

At the start of the mission you have the optional objective to call Judy to let her know what info you found. Whether you do this or not she still appears at Finger’s clinic though.

Dialogue:

  • Got a lead on Evelyn.
    • Promised I would, didn’t I? > Optional, appears if you said you would call her in the prior mission.
  • Headin’ there now.
    • Know where to find him? > Optional

Go to Jig-Jig Street

When you start the mission, your first main objective is to find Jig-Jig Street. V will become ill when coming out of the elevator though, and you’ll sit and have a short talk with Johnny before proceeding.  The dialogue in this interaction doesn’t appear to matter for Johnny’s Relationship progress, so you can respond how you want.

Dialogue:

  • What do you want from me? > Timed choice
  • You don’t care if I live. > Both options have the same outcome
  • Leave me alone.
  • Asked you – what the hell do you want? > Both options have the same outcome
  • Fucked in the head worse than me.
  • Gonna make a terrorist of me? > All three options have the same outcome
  • Funny guy.
  • For some ideal? Or to square a grudge?
  • Mikoshi – what’s that, exactly? > Leads to below three options.
    • Following. > All three options have the same outcome, lead to “Me and Mikoshi” dialogue
    • Yep, saw what happened to you.
    • Don’t care.
  • But I don’t trust you. > Leads to below option to skip Mikoshi explanation.
    • No exactly > Skips explanation of Mikoshi.
    • You’re just a hallucination > Optional
  • Me and Mikoshi – how’re we linked at all? < Both options have the same outcome
  • Cut to the chase.
  • Arasaka – how you plan to destroy it this time? > Optional even though it’s colored like progression dialogue.
  • [Stand] Ok, talked enough.

After the dialogue with Johnny you can head to Jig-Jig Street. It’s fastest just to walk there following the objective path, because it cuts through a pedestrian area that is largely back alleys you can’t drive through anyway.

Find Fingers clinic

Once you enter the general area, your objective changes to this. Keep following the marker to find the clinic.

Enter the clinic

When you reach the front your objective is to find a way into the clinic.

If you don’t want to talk to the guys out front, you can climb up the bin to the left and on the awning, then into the window, or further down the path there is a door you can force open if you have 5 BODY skill.

Talk to the thugs

If you want you can talk to the thugs sitting on the step, where you will have a number of options for getting inside.

Dialogue:

  • I don’t want any trouble. > Gets you inside immediately, no other requirements.
  • Looking for Fingers.
    • Got a busted implant.
      • Yes. > Gets you inside.
      • No, but you are.
        • Fine. I overdid it. > Timed choice, whichever of these two you pick doesn’t matter, the thugs start attacking you.
        • I never apologize. To trash. > Timed choice.
    • Not your biz. > Thugs start attacking you
  • Fuck off.
    • Fine. I overdid it. > Timed choice, whichever of these two you pick doesn’t matter, the thugs start attacking you.
    • I never apologize. To trash. > Timed choice.
  • 8 BODY: Don’t start. > Threaten them if you have high enough Body stat, gets you inside immediately.
  • STREETKID: Got a message from the Tyger Claws.  > If you are playing Streetkid lifepath you should select this, gets you inside immediately.

Once you have got inside, in whichever manner you chose, you can search around the lower floor for some extra items, but none of the people to talk to or scans really matter.

Talk to Fingers

When ready to continue head upstairs.

Talk to Judy

Judy will be waiting for you, whether you actually called her prior or not.

Dialogue:

  • Glad you came.
    • You know Fingers? > Optional
  • You talk to Fingers yet?
  • STREETKID: The Mox got Fingers in their crosshairs?
    • Why’d Evelyn go back to Clouds? > Optional
  • Think Evelyn’s here? > Optional
  • Evelyn – she means a lot to you? > Optional
  • You used to work at Clouds? > Optional

Find a way into Fingers’ office

After talking to Judy, you’ll need to decide how you want to proceed on getting in to talk to Fingers. Note that how you do this doesn’t change any outcomes, it’s basically preference and how you want to roleplay the mission.

Sit and talk to the joytoys [Optional]

One of the things you are prompted to do is talk to the other customers that are waiting, which allows you some options such as talking your way into letting them cut the line and see Fingers before them. You can totally ignore them though and force your way in.

Dialogue:

  • [Sit] Where’s Fingers?
  • [Sit] Fingers helps working folk?
  • [Sit] Seen a girl with blue hair here?

Whichever of the three sit options you pick doesn’t matter, you get the same options next.

  • Need to talk to Fingers. It’s important. > They agree to let you go in first.
  • [Wait] Fine, I’ll wait. > Skip time, you wait for everyone else to go first.
  • $900 [Pay] Find yourselves a better rippderdoc. > They agree to let you go in first.
  • 5 COOL: My friend here’s in really bad shape. Could we cut in front? > They agree to let you go in first.
  • 8 BODY: Don’t have time for this bullshit. > The agree to let you go in first.

Basically, unless you specifically select to wait it out the other customers agree to let you go in first.

If you don’t want to convince the other customers, you can just force your way into the room. If you have 7 BODY, you can just force the door open yourself from the waiting room. If you don’t, you can climb out the window and interact with the shutter on the window to the next room, opening either if you have 5 TECHNICAL ABILITY or using remote deactivation quickhack.

Talk to Fingers

Once inside the room you’ll have to talk to Fingers. If you forced your way in early you’ll get some extra dialogue at the start.

Dialogue:

  • Got a couple questions. > Both options have the same outcome.
  • Looking for Evelyn Parker.
  • Tell me where Evelyn Parker is. > Stops Fingers doing his work and he’ll talk to you immediately.
  • I’ll wait. > Stop dialogue, wait for Fingers to finish with the current patient.
  • 8 TECHNICAL ABILITY: Faceplate’s damaged. > These two options are optional, don’t progress dialogue.
  • 8 TECHNICAL ABILITY: You sell rot.

Whether you pushed in early or not, your dialogue options now are all the same.

Interrogate Fingers

This next dialogue you will always get the information you want regardless of how you choose to progress. The main thing that happens is if you choose any of the violent options  Fingers won’t be available as a Rippdoc anymore, which isn’t great because he has some alright items you can buy at this point in the story.

Dialogue:

  • Can we talk a minute? > These two options appear if you waited until he was done with the patient(s)
  • Where’s Evelyn Parker?
  • Looking for Evelyn Parker. / Just told you. Evelyn Parker. > Dialogue depends on whether you went in early or not, but doesn’t matter for progression.
    • 8 TECHNICAL ABILITY: You install faulty implants. > Optional
    • Helpin’ working girls? > Optional

After this dialogue Fingers brings you into his office.

  • [Sit] Check your logs. > Leads to “Get to the point” dialogue
  • [Sit] Start talking or you’ll have the Mox to deal with. > Leads to “Get to the point” dialogue
  • [Sit] The name “Forrest” set off any buzzers?
    • I’m asking the questions.  > Both options have the same outcome, lead to “Get to the point” dialogue.
    • Yeah, we talked.
  • [Punch] Better start remembering, or else… > Get violent, not recommended
    • [Punch] > Both options have the same outcome
    • Studio – what is it, where is it?
      • [Punch] > Both options have the same outcome
      • [Let go]
    • You remember her, I know you do. > Optional
  • Get to the point.
    • What was wrong with her? > Optional
  • Calm down, Judy. > Both options have the same overall outcome.
  • Don’t talk to her that way.
  • [Punch] I’m a hair away from putting you down. > Get violent, leads to above [Punch] options.
  • Where are these BDs recorded?
    • You know that for sure? > Optional
    • Underground BDs? > Optional
  • Where’d they take her?
    • Who’s your fixer? > Optional
  • What were they planning to do with her?
    • What’d they look like? > Optional
  • [Stand] Judy’s right. > All three of these options end the dialogue.
  • [Stand] She’s just upset. > Likely the best option of the end dialogue options, as Fingers ends the conversation not angry at you.
  • [Punch] > Don’t pick this option if you’ve reached this far into the dialogue.

This finishes The Space In Between main quest in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). Now the next quest Disasterpiece starts automatically.
