Cyberpunk 2077 Legendaries Guide (Legendary Weapons & Armor)

December 9, 2020 by PowerPyx 24 Comments

In Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77), Legendaries are the highest grade of gear you can find and buy. There are Legendary Weapons, Legendary Armor, Legendary Cyberware. This guide shows the locations where to find all Legendaries in Cyberpunk 2077.

There are 4 main ways to get Legendaries: Dropped by Bosses, Buying them from specific Merchants, from Crafting, from Rewards of completing other game tasks.

This guide will list all Legendaries by their Weapon Type / Armor Type / Cyberware. This way you can quickly find the item class you’re most interested in.

Important: You can upgrade any ICONIC GEAR you find from lower grade to legendary grade via crafting (Uncommon > Rare > Epic > Legendary). To do this, put 18 Points into Technical Ability. In the “Crafting” Skill tree buy these Perks: “True Craftsman” (craft Rare) > “Grease Monkey” (craft Epic) > “Edgerunner Artisan” (craft Legendary) > “Tune-Up” (upgrade from lower quality).

This guide focuses on the items you can find as legendary grade outright. Technically, there are as many “legendaries” as there are iconic gear + legendary crafting specs in the game. The item values also change depending on your level (i.e. the weapon damage & armor values go up if you find/buy them at a higher character level).

Completing Side Gig: Eye for an Eye and SPARING Tucker will let you access her secret safe containing a legendary outer torso vest (4 slots/ lvl. 36/ 144.4 armor).

As of 12/11/20 you can spare her for the safe, and then kill her for her drops + mission completing as if you you didn’t spare her at all.

I reloaded the mission 4 times to be safe and the armor spawned identically. I am level 20 playing on the hardest difficulty.

It’s most likely that cost is somewhat tied to your level, so the higher level you are the more stuff costs

if you know which stores to go to and have about 250 thousand you buy all the legends that are to be sold in stores as soon as you reach credibility 11. the sooner you buy the cheaper they will be.

Yeah I found a few. I’ll lost those separately later. All iconic ones I got were either from story bosses or side quests.

There’s a quest to pick up old recordings of Johnny’s gigs. The guy who eventually has them, if you can talk him into letting you buy them, also has a legendary t-shirt with the band’s logo on it. It has 4 open mod slots.

    Hi

I don’t care too much about crafting in this game because you always find new and better weapons in the world anyway. But there is the craft 3 legendary items trophy. So to craft legendary items you only need to dismantle legendary items in order to have enough crafting materials? Or do you need to dismantle common, rare, epic etc items as well? I’m asking because if I don’t I rather sell them to work towards the Autojack trophy.

    Thanks!

Yup. What I did though is save my atrribute points and perk points, make a manual save, then put them all in crafting. Lastly, I made three legendary item components and the trophy popped for me.

Mister Ice’s Trousers are to the right of Tama Viewpoint, on the S shaped road, look for two police cars and a truck.

Kerry Eurodyne’s Glasses are in the stormdrain at the back where it ends, if you follow the outer most right wall by the dam, you’ll find a corpse.

Whilst it’s not helpful, I found Spider Murhpy’s boots nearby in the same area, but I cannot remember where (To be confirmed); imgur.com/huhSSXv.png

I know, right. This is the first comment I have seen about this. I have been looking in my inventory and old saves to find it. I didn’t think I imagined it.

Can buy the Legendary Katana (1,200 dps) from the guy in your home building with the boxing ring challenging people to fight his robotic boxer.
Cost about 61,000 at the time.

I think there’s a mistake here, or maybe I’m dumb and haven’t figured it out, though I finished the game twice now.

`”You can upgrade any gear you find from lower grade to legendary grade via crafting.” – you actually can’t.

What you’re saying only applies to the iconic weapons and Johnny’s gear.

I think you’re right. When I checked this I must’ve had mostly iconics in my inventory and/or already some crafting specs for other stuff that also happened to be in my inventory. I reloaded an older save now to double-check and it’s actually limited to just iconics. For the other gear it only allows upgrading the stats in the crafting > upgrades menu but not the actual rarity.
I’ve updated this in the intro section now, thanks for spotting this!
