Old Friends is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Old Friends Gig (Side Quest).

Location: Dive bar on the corner of Congress and Pigeon St.
Details:
There’s a time for forgiveness and a time for revenge. There’s a time for turning the other cheek and a time for crushing your enemies like the roaches they are. In the words of the prophet Jeremiah: “Cursed is he who keeps their sword from bloodshed!”
The man you’re to eliminate is Karubo Bairei. He’s an old-timer, but don’t let appearances fool you, – he used to be a solo. He killed my friends – people who were like brothers and sisters to me. When all hell broke loose in Night City, he fled to the east coast. Now he’s back, probably thinking everyone forgot about him. But not me.
Karubo runs a filthy dive that serves as a Valentinos hangout. Go there and show him that nobody can avoid the hand of justice.
And try to not make a scene, OK? Be professional – no unnecessary attention.

- Carry Karubo’s body outside

Neutralize Karubo without raising the alarm [Optional]
It seems this objective is currently bugged and it still counts even if you raise the alarm.
It is an optional objective to complete this gig without an alarm at Padre’s request, and there are a couple of ways you can do this. An obvious way is to go in the back door if you have 16 TECHNICAL ABILITY, which puts you right in the kitchen where the target is. A unique alternative for this gig, if you climb up on the roof of the building there are windows you can look through. Through the one window, you can shoot the target (preferably with a silenced rifle or revolver) which completes the gig requirement.
If you can’t do either of those things you can still do this stealthily from inside. Wait for the bartender to move away from the bar (he wanders away often) then crouch behind the bar and into the kitchen at the back.
In the kitchen, you can grab the target, but watch for the one enemy that stands by the window as they turn around and a lot and can spot you when you grab the target.
Neutralize Karubo Boirei
Whether doing this stealth or not, take out the target.
Carry Karubo’s body outside
If you take out Karubo in a non-lethal way you will get this objective, where you grab his body and take it out to a car to send to Padre.
Leave the bar
If you do kill him, you will just need to leave the area to complete the gig. You can go out the back door of the bar if you want instead of out the front.

Go in through backdoor, distract the one enemy watching Karubo.
Non-lethal takedown on Karubo and carry his body out through backdoor.
I left Karubo’s body outside the bar to System Reset everything and loot before putting the body in the trunk.

If you do not have enough technical ability for the back door the fastest way is:
1. Walk through the front door and use System Reset on Karubo.
2. Use Reboot Optics on the guy leaning on the kitchen counter and hop over the counter into the kitchen.
3. Carry Karubo out the back door (do not need technical ability to open the door from the inside) and dump in the trunk.
< 20 seconds and the mission is over plus bonus money!
Optional: Go back and kill everyone for loot.
