Both Sides, Now is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Both Sides, Now Side Quest.
Area: Watson (Kabuki)
Quest Giver: Judy Alvarez
Requirement: Unlocks automatically over the course of the story (after Main Job “Double Life” wait 24 hours and Judy will call you). Then it gets added to your quest log.
Reward: 286XP, 643 Street Cred
Mission Info: You ever hear the saying “No good deed goes unpunished”? You hold your hand out to someone, you get bitten. You help a poor soul, you get fleeced for all you’re worth. Save someone’s life? Fill in the blank.
Objectives:
- Go to Judy’s Apartment
- Talk to Judy
- Carry Evelyn to the bedroom
- Lay down Evelyn on the bed
- Wait for Judy to finish
- Talk to Judy
- Leave the bedroom
- Leave the building
This is Judy’s 1st Side Job and the start of Judy’s Romance (can only be romanced with female body type & female voice). Your choices in this particular job do not affect the Romance, can’t choose anything wrong here.
Judy’s Side Questline:
Starting Location: Both Sides, Now
Side Job: Both Sides, Now takes place in Watson (Kabuki). This is Judy’s first Side Quest. It unlocks automatically over the course of the story (after Main Job “Double Life” wait 24 hours and Judy will call you). Then it gets added to your quest log.
Go to Judy’s Apartment
Once you arrive at Judy’s apartment, interact with the intercom to the right of her door. It will take a few seconds and then the door opens.
Talk to Judy
Judy is in the bathroom. Not so great news; Evelyn slit her wrists and lays dead in the bathtub. This side job is basically just carrying Evelyn to the bedroom and calming down Judy.
Carry Evelyn to the bedroom
Select the yellow “[Lift]” dialogue and you’ll automatically pick up Evelyn. Carry her over to the bedroom.
Lay down Evelyn on the bed
Put her down on the bed.
Wait for Judy to finish
Judy will call the police to report Evelyn’s self-inflicted death, but they don’t seem much interested and tell Judy to keep the corpse on ice over night and they’ll come by tomorrow to take a look.
Talk to Judy
When talking to Judy there are 3 dialogues:
- Death’s a daily thing for ’em
- Went easy on them, anyway.
- NCPD’s understaffed.
What you pick here doesn’t matter and only changes the next line of dialogue.
Leave the bedroom
The game will automatically transition to a rooftop scene. There will be a bunch of dialogues with Judy here but they only change the next line of dialogue each and it doesn’t matter what you pick here.
- [Give cigarette] Fine, here.
- No can do.
- Sorry. Out.
- She smoked some strange brand
- Want it back?
- Can’t believe she gave up
- Dunno what to say
- Stay strong
- Good thing I killed him
- So you found other recordings?
- What’d Woodman do?
- [Stand] Anything comes up – call
- Sure you don’t need anything?
Pick whatever you want and it doesn’t matter if you do the optional dialogues or not. Her questline and romance will advance the same way regardless.
Leave the building
After Judy finishes talking with you, head downstairs and the quest will end.
