Borderlands 4 Voices Carry Side Mission Walkthrough

Voices Carry is a side mission in Borderlands 4 DLC #1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Voices Carry Side Quest.

• DLC required: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned
• Starting Location: Kairos > The Whispering Glacier > The Speakeasy
• Quest Giver: McKinney
• Unlock Requirement: having finished Main Quest 4: What Lies Dreaming
• Reward: Money, XP, Sniper Rifle (Green or Blue rarity), ECHO-4 Attachment
• Quest Description: The voices won’t leave him alone no matter how much he drinks. Can science explain this haunting?

Starting Location: Voices Carry

Reach area

Leave the Speakeasy, follow the quest marker, and head to the northern part of the map.

Kill DAHL soldiers

At the location, just kill all enemies.

Find console & Search crashed ship

After killing the enemies, head inside the ship. Follow the path until you reach an open area.

Find console & Take keycard

An enemy will spawn, kill it, and pick up its keycard.

Find console

Now turn around, use your grappling hook to pull out a platform and jump over to the other side.

Place keycard

Place the keycard inside the console.

Hack console

Now just hack the console.

Repair primary communications tower x2

After hacking the console, just follow the quest marker to find the tower southwest of your current position.

Then jump onto the tower and use the switch.

Then use the jump pad nearby, after that climb up the ladder.

Use your grappling hook to make a new jump pad visible.

Then use the jump pad to reach and use the second switch.

Repair auxiliary relay towers x2 & Reach tower 1

Now head to the far south of the map to reach the tower.

Repair auxiliary relay towers x2 & Kill Kragons

Once you reach the tower, kill the enemies around it.

Repair auxiliary relay towers x2 & Scan DAHL corpses

After killing the enemies, scan the corpses in front of the tower.

Now interact with the tower.

Repair auxiliary relay towers x2 & Reboot tower x2

To reboot the tower, you have to destroy two generators. You can find them easily by following the big yellow cables. One is in front of the tower, the other one on the roof of the building to the left of the tower.

Now follow the quest marker to the next tower to the west of your current location.

Head inside the tower and interact with the terminal.

To reach the console, jump down the hole in the middle of the tower.

Then look above you, shoot the object, and then use your grappling hook to get on the platform.

Then jump to the other side and climb up the ladder.

Now interact with the console.

Reach squad

Head further to the south to an open area.

Hack speakers

Here, interact with the speakers.

Kill squad & Collect dogtags x5

After hacking the speakers, kill all enemies and pick up their dog tags from where you killed them.

Reach soldier

Follow the quest marker to the west side of the map to find the soldier.

Follow soldier

Now follow him to the beach.

Assemble bonfire & Pick up driftwood

Pick up the driftwood next to the soldier.

Assemble bonfire & Place driftwood

Just place the wood near the soldier.

Place dog tags

After placing the woods, just place the dog tags too.

This finishes Voices Carry side mission in Borderlands 4.
