Cyberpunk 2077 Backs Against The Wall Walkthrough

Backs Against The Wall is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Backs Against The Wall Gig (Side Quest).

Objective: Recovered stolen medicine

Location: Housing block on Columbus St.

A few years back I scrolled a little feature called “How Affordable is Health?” It turns out not very. My numbers showed only 3 percent of Night Citizens could afford healthcare. A lot has changed since. For the worse. Some people are declaring open war on rippers, breaking into clinics, klepping meds and chems. No surprise there. And no surprise these rippers want to protect what’s theirs.

They want you to recover a pack of stolen meds. Thanks to the GPS tracer hidden inside, we know exactly where to look.

Objectives:

• Go To The Indicated Residence
• Find The Stolen Medicine
• Retrieve The Stolen Medicine
• Deposit The Medicine In The Drop Point

Starting Location: Backs Against The Wall

Go To The Indicated Residence

Head to the location above to find the residence, which is an abandoned building with the word Broken written above its doors. Head into the building and up the stairs to the fourth floor, which is where the residence is. If you have enough points put into your Technical Ability, you can open the door. Otherwise, look out the window and jump onto the balconies, and across, to the next one, jumping into the window of the residence.

Find The Stolen Medicine

Head through the house and look for the slope (broken ceiling part) leading up to the second floor. Go up that path, shown with a green arrow in the below image (see minimap in top right corner for reference).

Open the door at the end of the corridor to find the individual, called William Hare, with the medicine.

Once you open the door, don’t move as you will start a fight with the individual if you do. For the rest of the scene stay still and reply to the conversation with the following options for a “peaceful” end:

Dialogue

• Fixer Sent Me.
• If it doesn’t work, give it to me.
• His death would change nothing.
• Other politicians will make use of his death.

Eventually, the individual will calm down and you can retrieve the medicine.

Retrieve The Stolen Medicine

The stolen medicine can be found in the storage box on your right, in the same room as the individual you just met.

Deposit The Medicine In The Drop Point

Once you have the medicine, exit the building either through the way you came in or the double doors and deposit it in the nearest drop point, completing the gig. On your way out you can hear a gunshot, the guy you just met will shoot himself if you didn’t kill him. So either way he will die.
